How Do Miner Wars Rewards Work: When They Arrive and Why They Change?

Your miners work in one of two modes. In Mining mode, they earn BTC every day just for being held. In Miner Wars, the same power plays a weekly competition, and the BTC it would have earned goes into your league’s prize fund instead. So after the switch, the reward arrives on a different schedule, in two currencies, and with a full cycle of maintenance taken out of the BTC part. Here is how to read it.

What Changes When You Switch to Miner Wars?

Joining a clan is the switch, and leaving one puts your farm back into Mining mode. Game entry requires at least one purchased Digital Miner; a free Bonus Miner is not enough on its own.

The switch day itself costs you something in both directions, and this is what looks like a bug most often. Mining mode pays for full days only, from 00:00 to 00:00 UTC, so you do not receive the Mining mode reward for the day you switched. Coming back, daily BTC starts again only after one full day in Mining mode. And inside the game, you are paid at a cycle close, so joining on Friday means Tuesday’s payout covers only the rounds your clan won while you were already in it.

When Do Rewards Arrive?

A cycle opens Tuesday at 00:00 UTC and closes the following Tuesday at 00:00 UTC. Rounds inside it end whenever a real Bitcoin block is confirmed, roughly 120 to 150 rounds a day, so winners are picked constantly through the week. Nothing is paid until the cycle closes.

After the close, the system counts every clan’s blocks and their multipliers, applies your discounts, deducts maintenance, and credits what is left. The process is usually completed by Tuesday, after the cycle closes. Note that this is UTC, not necessarily your own morning. Rewards land in your GoMining wallet on their own; there is no claim button.

Why Are There Two Pools and Two Currencies?

BTC is the clan competition. Each round has one winning clan, and inside it, the BTC is split strictly by each member’s share of the clan’s power in TH. If your clan won no blocks, there is no BTC for anyone in it, however many points you scored.

GOMINING tokens are the personal competition. Once a round's winning clan is drawn from the block hash, one personal winner is drawn inside that clan by the same math. Your share of the weekly token pool equals your share of the personal rounds you won, weighted by their multipliers. EE doesn't consume the token payout itself, but TH and EE determine the PPS → the chance to win the round. One thing trims the final number: the Clan Owner takes a 5% commission, so a personal winner keeps 95%, not 100%.

Why Can the BTC Reward Be Zero?

Maintenance comes out of every BTC reward first: the electricity of the machines behind your power, which scales with your power and your efficiency in W/TH, plus the data center service fee. Both are counted for all seven days of the cycle and billed against each block your clan won.

When maintenance on a block is higher than what that block earned, the payout for it stops at zero rather than going negative. This system is called "reward protection." You owe nothing, and you receive nothing for that block. A farm with weak efficiency can go through a genuinely winning cycle and finish at zero.

One more rule. Your league’s BTC fund collects what all of its players would have earned in Mining mode, and while your total game rewards for the cycle stay below what your own farm would have earned in Mining mode, electricity is billed on your own efficiency. On anything above that personal line, the fee is calculated from the weighted average efficiency of your whole league instead of yours.

Why the switch? Because the surplus above your own contribution was effectively generated by other farms in your league, it is billed at that league’s average efficiency rather than yours.

How Is Your Reward Actually Calculated?

Every winning round is scored on its own, and your BTC payout is the sum of them. For a single round, your gross slice is:

your league's BTC fund × (this round's multiplier ÷ all multipliers in the cycle) × (your TH ÷ your clan's TH)

  1. The fund is divided across the cycle by multiplier. A cycle holds roughly a thousand rounds, and their multipliers add up to about twice that (average round is x2), so one x8 round is worth about 0.4% of the fund. League ceilings: x32 Dune, x64 Horizon, x128 Eclipse, x256 Odyssey.
  2. That round share goes to the winning clan and splits by power. Hold 50 TH in a 1000 TH clan, and you take 5% of it, about 0.02% of the fund.
  3. Maintenance is then subtracted from your slice. Electricity (your power at your own W/TH) and the service fee are figured for the full seven days, then spread across every block in the cycle; you pay only for the blocks your clan actually won.

Reward and maintenance scale with the same two things: the round's multiplier and your TH share, so they rise together. That is why a payout versus a zero is decided by your efficiency, not the size of the block: a high W/TH farm pays more electricity per TH, so more of its blocks are eaten to zero.

Two levers matter most: how often your clan wins high-multiplier rounds, and your share of your clan's power, with your W/TH setting how much survives.

How Do You Make Sure Your Discounts Apply?

Discounts reduce maintenance, and they are all snapshotted at the cycle close.

  1. Keep enough GOMINING in your wallet until the cycle has closed. If the balance cannot cover the fee at settlement, it is taken in BTC, and the discount does not apply.
  2. Click the service button every day. Each consecutive day adds 0.3%, up to 3% after ten days in a row, counted as of 00:00 UTC on Tuesday. It also gives instant round points equal to your points per second times 1000.
  3. Check your VIP tier; it carries its own discount and stacks with the GOMINING one.
  4. Upgrade your least efficient miners on your mining farm. Lower W/TH cuts the bill every cycle.

What Should You Check Before Contacting Support?

  • Check your wallet transaction history — the reward may already be there.
  • The cycle has fully closed at Tuesday 00:00 UTC, and the processing window has passed.
  • Which pool you are reading on the Rewards page: BTC for clan wins, GOMINING for personal wins.
  • That your clan actually won blocks in that cycle, on the Leaderboard.
  • Check your Reward settings. If Reinvestment (in TH or in GOMINING) is on, your reward is converted into hashrate or GOMINING tokens and will not appear as BTC in your wallet.
  • Check the league's average energy efficiency on the leaderboard—it might be the very thing eating into the part of your reward above your own Mining-mode earnings (the excess).

If it still does not add up, send support your GoMining ID, the cycle number, and a screenshot.

FAQ

I switched to Miner Wars and my daily BTC stopped. Is that broken?

No, that is the switch working. Daily Mining mode rewards stop because your power is now playing the game, and the game pays once a week at the cycle close.

My clan won blocks, and I still got zero BTC. Is that a bug?

Almost certainly not. Maintenance for the whole cycle is deducted from each block’s reward, and when the fee on a block exceeds what it earned, the payout stops at zero. Low efficiency across your farm is the usual cause.

My farm is efficient, so why is part of my maintenance billed at a worse W/TH than mine?

That is the excess rule. The BTC fund holds what every league player would have earned in Mining mode. As long as your cycle rewards stay below what your own farm would have mined, electricity is billed on your own W/TH. Anything above that personal line came from other players' farms, so its electricity is billed at the league's weighted-average efficiency instead of yours. Only the surplus is affected, and only electricity: the service fee and the token side do not change.

A clanmate with the same TH got more BTC than me. How?

The gross split is identical, because inside a clan BTC goes strictly by TH share. The difference is what came off the top: different W/TH means different electricity, and VIP tier, GOMINING balance at settlement, and Miner service streak all land on the final figure.

My discount applied to only some of my blocks. Why?

The GOMINING discount is settled block by block at the cycle close and paid from the GOMINING in your wallet. If your balance runs out partway, the discount covers the blocks it can, and the rest are charged in BTC at full price. veGOMINING counts toward the size of the discount, but it is locked and cannot pay the fee itself, so keep enough liquid GOMINING in the wallet through Tuesday's settlement to cover every block.

I left my clan mid-cycle. Did I lose that week’s rewards?

No. Rewards accrue round by round, so the rounds your clan won while you were a member are still paid at that cycle’s close. Mining mode BTC starts again after one full day (00:00 to 00:00 UTC) back in that mode.

A note on numbers: rewards depend on your clan’s results, your TH contribution, your efficiency relative to your league’s average, and live Bitcoin network conditions. Results vary between users and between cycles, and past cycles are not a guarantee of future ones.
