Imagine you want to start mining Bitcoin but you're not sure how much to spend or what your first miner should look like. Maybe you've seen "tiers" mentioned in other guides and you're wondering which tier you fit into.

Here's the thing: GoMining doesn't actually ship pre-defined miner tiers. Every digital miner is custom-built the moment you create it. You pick the Power (TH/s) and Energy Efficiency (W/TH) yourself.

What people mean by "tiers" is really the budget band that fits their situation, and the VIP level each band unlocks. This guide walks you through those bands, the smart pick at each one, and how to scale up over time.

Every new user gets a free Bonus Miner before buying anything. It mines real BTC immediately, so you can see the app loop work end-to-end without spending a cent.

What is a digital miner?

A digital miner is a unique asset linked to ASIC mining hardware that works 24/7 in GoMining's data centers to generate Bitcoin for you. You don't run the hardware, GoMining does. You own the right to a share of the mining rewards.

Every miner is defined by two specs:

Power (TH/s): Mining speed measured in terahashes per second. The more power, the more Bitcoin your miner can earn. Power scales through 20 discrete levels from 1 TH/s at level 1 to 5,000 TH/s at level 20.

Energy efficiency (W/TH): Watts your miner uses per unit of mining power. Lower numbers mean cheaper maintenance. The platform floor is 15 W/TH, the lowest you can go.

That's it. There are no "S, M, L" packages. You configure both numbers when you create the miner, and you can upgrade them later.

What does the free Bonus Miner give you?

When you create your GoMining account, a Bonus Miner appears in your Mining Farm automatically. It ships small, around 0.006 TH/s at 15 W/TH efficiency, and it mines real Bitcoin from day one.

The Bonus Miner is a learning tool with limitations. Rewards accumulate in your wallet, but you can't withdraw them until you buy your first paid miner or open a GoMining Card. Rewards older than 90 days expire if you haven't bought anything by then.

To activate it:

1. Open the GoMining app.

2. Go to your Mining Farm.

3. Tap the Bonus Miner.

4. On the miner page, tap Activate to unlock onboarding tasks.

Completing tasks grows the Bonus Miner's TH for free. It's the lowest-risk way to start. Learn more about how to start earning with GoMining

Should you buy a miner under $50?

Probably not. At that budget, maintenance fees take too big a bite out of the gross BTC, and you're better off using a different product.

The honest play below $50 is to deposit $10 or more in USDT, USDC, or BTC and activate Simple Earn. It's a one-button feature in the app that pays daily BTC dividends on your idle balance. Current base APRs: 9.85% on USDT and USDC, 9.00% on TON, 5.68% on SOL, 3.03% on BTC, 2.73% on ETH, 1.52% on BNB. The APR scales with your VIP level, capping at 1.46× the base at VIP 21 (which puts USDT at 14.38% for top-tier holders). Rates current as of June 2026 — check the app for the live APR, since rates do move.

Simple Earn isn't available in the United States. If you're affected, check live availability in the app before depositing, or buy a small amount of GOMINING tokens and save them toward your first miner.

Learn more about Simple Earn

Tier 1 — Entry miner ($50–$500)

This is the "I want to actually own a miner" band. Hashrate sits between 1 and 5 TH/s at the 15 W/TH efficiency floor, and you'll land at one of the lower Mining Farm Levels (Hashboard S at 1 TH up through Hashboard M at 5 TH).

On the primary marketplace today, the cheapest entries are at $9.99 per TH in the Mine Box and regional NFT collections (South, East, West, North, GoMining Whales). The best $/TH ratio we see

live is the "XS" collection at $11.18 for 2 TH/s, working out to $5.59 per TH. " Marketplace listings move — check the live price in the app before buying.

Pick this band if you want real ownership before scaling up, if you already have a Bonus Miner and want to unlock withdrawal cheaply, or if your budget caps below the Silver I VIP threshold.

At this band, your real return is the experience itself, not the dollar yield. The point is to learn the app loop before committing more capital.

Tier 2 — Mid miner ($500–$5,000)

This is where the math starts to make sense. Aim for 10 to 25 TH/s at 15 W/TH efficiency. Crossing 10 TH unlocks VIP Silver I (Mining Farm Level 3, "Hashboard L"), which is the threshold that materially improves your economics.

What Silver I unlocks:

A +5% TH Reinvestment Bonus when you reinvest BTC rewards into more TH 1% cashback on GoMining Card spending (credited as TH/s on a selected miner) A 1.10× Simple Earn multiplier (so USDT goes from 9.85% to 10.84% APR) Launchpad access for early-stage projects

A Silver-tier maintenance discount layered on top of every other discount you stack

If you're allocating in this band, the three levers that compound are: a miner sized to clear the 10 TH Silver I threshold at 15 W/TH, GOMINING tokens to unlock the maintenance discount when you pay in $GOMINING (up to 20% off), and any remaining stablecoin balance in Simple Earn for the 1.10× VIP-3 multiplier. The GoMining Card is an optional fourth lever — spending on it credits TH back to a selected miner.

Tier 3 — High-power miner ($5,000+)

Above $5,000 you're in serious-allocation territory. Aim for 100 TH/s or more at 15 W/TH. The big unlock here is VIP Gold I at 100 TH, which is also the threshold for clan ownership in Miner Wars.

What Gold I unlocks:

The ability to create your own Miner Wars clan and earn 5% of GOMINING tokens won by every member of your clan

A higher-tier card cashback rate than Silver

A Gold-tier maintenance discount layered on the same stack as Silver

You have two ways to enter this band: pay outright, or use Mine Now, Pay Later to leverage your entry.

What is Mine Now, Pay Later?

Mine Now, Pay Later (MNPL) is the official installment program: 25% down, the rest in equal monthly installments (per our public MNPL FAQ).

Mechanically, MNPL is a leverage on upfront capital. At today's $9.99/TH floor, $5,000 outright gets you around 500 TH. The MNPL terms — exact day-one hashrate access, installment count, and any rate add-on — are documented at the help.nft.gomining.com MNPL FAQ and surface on the buy screen before you commit.

If a single installment payment exceeds $1,000, KYC verification is required. MNPL is a commitment. If you can't comfortably cover the monthly installment, this isn't the path.

How do you get the best margin?

Maintenance fees are the main drag on your net BTC rewards. GoMining lets you stack several discounts at once.

The four big levers:

Pay maintenance in GOMINING tokens 1% to 20% off, with the tier inside that range determined by your $GOMINING holdings (per our published discount stack).

VIP tier discount — applied automatically based on your current VIP level. Ranges from 0.3% at Bronze II to 6% at Elite

Service Button — tap it daily to build up to 3% off, accruing at 0.3% per consecutive day with a 10-day cap.

GoMiners avatar — any series gives you 5% off miner creation and power upgrades (not recurring maintenance). The Sentinel series adds 20% off Miner Wars spells on top.

These stack. The practical ceiling — published in our product facts — is 29% off recurring maintenance when an Elite-tier user (6% VIP) maxes the Service Button (3%) and pays in $GOMINING at the 20% cap. Lower-VIP users hit a lower ceiling because the VIP component shrinks; the exact discount your account sees lives in the maintenance screen in the app.

What about Platinum+?

Platinum+ isn't a miner tier, it's a subscription that unlocks Platinum I VIP benefits regardless of how much TH or veGOMINING you own.

The cost is $29.99 per 30 days, billed automatically. Confirmed benefits: Spell Bot active for 15% off Miner Wars boosts

TH Reinvestment Bonus (+5% on Silver I floor benefit, applied via Platinum I) Clan ownership in Miner Wars (Platinum I exceeds the Gold I threshold)

Consecutive-renewal TH bonus that adds +2%, +4%, +6%, +8% to your miners on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th renewals

Can you upgrade your miner later?

Yes. Whatever you buy first, you can grow it. There are two levers, both available from the Mining Farm screen in the app.

1. Find the miner you want to grow and tap Upgrade

2. Choose Power to raise TH/s through the 20-level ladder up to 5,000, or Efficiency to lower W/TH down to the 15 floor.

3. Confirm the payment. The new specs apply immediately.

Power scales in 20 discrete levels (1 TH/s at level 1, 5,000 TH/s at level 20), not as a continuous slider. Once you reach 15 W/TH on a miner, you can't upgrade efficiency further on that miner. You're at the floor.

Your total TH across all miners drives your Mining Farm Level (1 to 21, from "Hashboard S" at 1 TH up to "Mining empire" at 1,000,000 TH). Higher levels improve your VIP tier, which compounds back into all the benefits above.

Which tier should you pick first?

Quick decision rules. Adjust to fit your situation, not the other way around.

Under $50: use Simple Earn at 9.85% APR on stablecoins, or buy GOMINING tokens to save toward your first miner. Skip the entry-tier miner. The math doesn't work yet.

$50 to $500: buy a Tier 1 entry miner at 1 to 5 TH/s and 15 W/TH. The "XS" 2 TH collection at $5.59/TH gives the best $/TH ratio we see live, otherwise the $9.99/TH Mine Box or regional collections work. If you can spare a bit, activate Simple Earn on the remainder.

$500 to $5,000: target Silver I at 10 TH/s. Diversify across a miner, locked tokens, and Simple Earn. This is the band where the economics start to really work in your favor.

$5,000 or more: target Gold I at 100 TH/s for clan ownership. Pay outright or use MNPL leverage if you're comfortable with monthly installments. At Gold I, you can create a Miner Wars clan and earn 5% royalties from members.

Whatever you pick, always set your miner to 15 W/TH efficiency from day one. The maintenance fee per TH is the same whether you spend $9.99 or $30,000, so cost per TH is what you're really optimizing.

You're ready now

Open the GoMining app, tap Create Miner from your Home screen, set your Power and Efficiency, and complete the payment. Your miner is yours within seconds and starts earning BTC the same day.

  • One thing to keep in mind: BTC rewards and payback periods shift with the BTC price and the Bitcoin network difficulty. Treat any payback math you see in guides as a snapshot, not a guarantee — the live ROI in the app is always the number to trust.

Your mining journey begins now.
