What are GoMining Avatars?
GoMiners are limited-edition digital avatars that unlock exclusive benefits in the GoMining ecosystem.
Think of them as superheroes with special abilities: they improve your BTC earnings and open access to perks that are exclusive to Avatar owners and that you wouldn’t get otherwise.
Each avatar opens up access to core benefits that are the same for all avatar holders, and series-specific benefits that are unique for a specific collection of avatars.
Core Benefits
GoMiner avatar owners are eligible for the following benefits:
- GoClub access — avatar owners can join a private club with online & offline meetups, member-only content, and special privileges.
- 5% discount on miner creation and power upgrades — a permanent discount that boosts your mining growth.
- Access to pre-sales — Rare collections of miners sell within a few minutes. Avatar owners get a chance to be the first to buy miners from new collections before they become available for other users of the platform.
- Welcome pack — with your first claimed avatar, you’ll get an official GoMining merch that can be shipped worldwide.
Series-Specific Abilities
On top of the core benefits, each series of avatars comes with its own unique ability.
Luminars: +1 VIP level
A Luminar is like a VIP fast-track pass — each one instantly boosts your VIP status by +1 level, which opens up opportunities for easier progress toward bigger discounts, better rewards, and exclusive features.
You’ll receive a GoBox for any VIP level reached with a Luminar — as long as it’s your first time achieving that level. The only exception is GoBox Bronze, which isn’t issued if you reach Bronze II using an avatar.
Sentinels: Discounted spells
Designed for Miner Wars players, Sentinels give you a 20% discount on spells and boosts, making your in-game activity even more rewarding. It’s a perfect fit for those who want a competitive edge in battles while saving resources.
Humans: Automated service
Humans eliminate the need to click on the Service button to get a 3% maintenance discount and more net rewards. They make sure that your mining farm always works most efficiently.
Cryptiles: Enhanced efficiency
Built for energy optimization, Cryptiles upgrade your mining farm’s efficiency by 1 W/TH (but not below 20 W/TH). A smart pick for those who care about cutting maintenance costs.
How to Get a GoMiner Avatar
1. Claim with a Key
Keys can be found inside GoBoxes — mystery boxes earned via reaching a new level at VIP program, participation in raffles, and other promotions. When you win a key, it appears automatically in the My GoMiners section in your profile.
To use the key:
- Go to the Marketplace → GoMiners
- Choose an available avatar and tap Claim
- Pick where to store it: in your GoMining wallet or any Ethereum wallet linked to your account
Once claimed, the avatar is permanently yours — you can keep it or sell it later.
2. Buy on the Marketplace
You can also purchase avatars directly from other users on the Marketplace. Once you purchase it, all benefits will be available to you as the new owner.
Note: Welcome pack is only awarded once — if the previous owner claimed it, you won’t be able to claim it again.
Using Your GoMiners
All your avatars are stored in the My GoMiners section in your profile. As soon as you claim an avatar, most of its core perks activate automatically, but two things require extra action:
- Welcome pack. It isn’t shipped automatically. You’ll see a button on the avatar’s page to order it.
- Unique ability (like the Sentinel’s in-game discount on spells). To use it, your GoMiner has to be set as your profile picture — just tap Activate ability on the avatar and save changes. Once done, the unique ability will start working right away, and other users will see your avatar across Leaderboards, GoClub, and the rest of the ecosystem.
Having Multiple Avatars
If you own multiple avatars, their benefits don’t stack (e.g. you won’t get double discounts). However, you can still own several avatars as each avatar has its own unique ability, and you can choose which one is active at any given time by switching your profile picture.
This way, you can collect avatars from different series and switch abilities depending on your current needs. For example, activate a Human to reduce maintenance costs, then switch to a Sentinel when playing Miner Wars.
Selling Your Avatar
If you decide to sell, list your avatar on the Marketplace by tapping Sell on its card. While it’s up for sale, you can still enjoy all its perks until it’s purchased.
